ASSAF BREED COMES FROM

They come from Israel. They are a crossbreeding between Awassi and East Friesian sheeps. Unicolored like the East Friesian the Assaf sheeps are domesticated. They east about 10 kg of fresh grass per day and drink 10 liters of water on warm days.

Assaf for milk

Assaf breed is known for its high milk production. The sheep milk is extremely rich and healthy. The sheep cheese includes the Feta from Greece, Roquefort from France, Manchego from Spain, the Pecorino Romano and Ricotta from Italy. Fresh yogurt and other creamy preparation may also be made from sheep milk.
